David G. Davtyan M.D., FACS, FICS is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is an expert in Laparoscopic Gastric Banding, having studied and even performing his first one in Brussels, Belguim where the surgery was first introduced. He received his medical degree in 1989 from UCLA and completed his residency in 1996 from the University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Davtyan is associated with the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. He is also an active member on the Editorial Advisory Board of Obesity Help magazine and has contributed Lap-Band articles to many medical journals.
