Ted Khalili, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the director for the Cedars-Sinai Center for Weight Loss, as well as the Director of Research at the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. After receiving his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL in 1993, Dr. Khalili completed his surgical residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Khalili is board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He received great acclaim when in medical school, elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. In 1997 he was awarded the Resident's Prize from the Pacific Coast Association, and in 1997 and 1998 he was recognized with the Paul Rubinstein Prize for Resident Research.
The accredited bariatric surgeon is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, American Society for Bariatric Surgery, American Medical Association and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
