Al Roker – The NBC Today show morning weather guy, Roker dropped 100 pounds over eight months after his 2002 gastric bypass surgery. He underwent the surgery based on his late father’s wishes after he had reached a peak weight of 320 pounds.

Sharon Osbourne- Ozzy Osbourne’s wife underwent lap-band surgery in 1999 and lost 100 pounds. In 2002 Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer, but continued to appear on MTV’s reality show The Osbourne’s.

Star Jones Reynolds- Most popularly known as one of the talking heads on The View, an estrogen-driven morning talk show, she had gastric bypass or lap band approximately 2.5 years ago. The reason this is an approximation is she has not publicly admitted having the either surgery. She recently wrote a book with her new lease on life after her recent divorce.

Carnie Wilson – Daughter of Bryan Wilson of the Beach Boys, she was a part of Wilson Philips, a popular all female group in the early 90s. After topping out at 300 pounds she underwent gastric bypass surgery in August of 1999. After the surgery she went from a size 28 to a size 6 and lost 150 pounds. She posed for Playboy in 2003 with her new slim 5’ 3’ body.
